Ars Aevi

Ars Aevi is a visionary, contemporary art, and museum concept led by Enver Hadžiomerspahić. It is a museum of contemporary art in Sarajevo that possesses a notable collection of artworks, with significant importance in the broader artistic context.

 

The overall concept of the International Cultural Project ARS AEVI was first presented in Sarajevo at the Forum of Artists and Intellectuals in July 1992, just three months after the siege of the city began.

 

The project for the construction of the museum building was designed by the renowned Italian architect Renzo Piano. His architectural vision aimed to create a space that harmoniously blends with the urban landscape and showcases contemporary art in a unique and captivating manner.

 

The main purpose of Ars Aevi is to foster a cultural dialogue and exchange, providing a platform for contemporary artists to exhibit their works and explore innovative artistic expressions.
