Mostar's iconic Old Bridge, Stari Most, provides a stunning backdrop for the Red Bull Cliff Diving event. Experience the Enchantment of “Baščaršijske noći” (Baščaršija Nights)!

“Baščaršijske noći” is a traditional summer festival in the city of Sarajevo, a project of international cultural collaboration that takes place every year from July 1st to July 31st. The roots of “Baščaršijske noći” can be traced back to before the war and aggression on Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina. However, it was only sporadically held on different occasions. It used to be an eventful “Baščaršijska noć” (Baščaršija Night), where 15-20 diverse cultural programs unfolded across various locations in the city.

The foundation of the festival was laid in 1988 and 1989 when Sejfudin Tanović (1926 – 1999), a renowned film director, writer, and cultural enthusiast deeply in love with Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina, along with a group of enthusiasts, revived “Baščaršijske noći.”

The original concept continued after the war, and “Baščaršijske noći” transformed into a grand international cultural festival lasting for an entire month.

Over the years, 24 festivals have taken place in various locations throughout Sarajevo, with a central stage that had been situated in front of the City Hall for many years. The festival's hallmark, besides its month-long duration, is the participation of numerous countries and the diverse range of programs. Every aspect of the arts is covered, from opera, ballet, and contemporary dance to classical and modern music concerts, theatrical performances, literary evenings, children's programs, film screenings, and folkloric events.

The festival's popularity is commendable, thanks to its diverse and captivating programs, as well as the free access to all the events.

Today, Tuzla came alive with music, joy, and smiles as we celebrated “World Music Day.” The members of the AkustikUm Association decided to make their contribution by organizing a series of performances and concerts throughout the city center.

Among the participants, Mak Šimleša made his debut in this event, and he shared his feelings about music and the experience of playing with N1:

“For me, this means much more than just performing. I truly love music. Right now, I feel incredibly happy and proud of my friends and myself for achieving success and mastering the instrument. Though it was a bit challenging at the beginning, music is my world. Without it, I couldn't function, and I wouldn't know true happiness,” described the ten-year-old participant.

Music evokes different emotions in each of us. For Mak, it's life, while for his fellow musician, Mia, it's tranquility.

“We have a tradition of celebrating World Music Day, and personally, it's like a holiday for me, a day to enjoy to the fullest. I remember that for the last three years, the sun always shone at this time. This event is essential; it allows us to show people what we do at ‘AkustikUM’ and the significance of music,” shared Mia Perkić.

Mia emphasized that anyone with an inclination towards music is welcome to knock on their doors, where they will be gladly taught and introduced to a world of peace and happiness.

In the heart of Tuzla, the most beautiful square in Bosnia and Herzegovina has come alive once again with the vibrant “Beer Days” festival. Organized by the Tourist Board of Tuzla, with the support of Bingo d.o.o. Tuzla and technical execution and support from JKP “Saobraćaj i Komunikaciju” Tuzla, JKP “Pannonica” Tuzla, and JKP “Komunalac Tuzla,” the Beer Days are part of the “Spring in Tuzla” event.

The festivities have already begun, attracting numerous attendees of all generations to Freedom Square. A special highlight is the large number of little ones dancing and twirling to the music resonating from the festive stage, filling the entire square with song and melodies, signaling the arrival of spring.

Exhibitors, producers, and traders have set up their stalls, offering a delightful variety of beers for everyone to savor. Experience the distinct flavors of Tuzlanski pilsner from PIVARA d.o.o. Tuzla, Laško, and Karlovačko pivo from Boreas d.o.o. Kreševo, Estrelle, Berditiner, and Bitbutger beers from Antonio TRADE Grude, Buna craft, Bitbuger piva, and 84.OLIMPISS CRAFT BREWERY.
