The restaurant was open in 2005. It is unique in the way that it has an “open counter” that provides the guest with a direct way of communicating with the chef. Everything he does will be taking place in front of you and in plain sight, so if you come by regularly, you can actually learn how to prepare different exotic treats and fusions. Light conversation with the chef is always welcome, as he stands ready to listen to your suggestions, or give you culinary advice on Asian specialties.
Slow music in the background and the abundance of different smells blending into one enchanting irresistible flavor will make your stay at Mala Kuhinja an unforgettable experience. We will take you to a different place where your work and your problems do not exist.
As you walk in, you will be ushered to your table by Senad Bajramovic, your host on this journey. He will chat you up and engage you in a light conversation that will reveal your culinary cravings and your expectations for the day. Once he’s heard enough to make a recommendation, do take his advice. The meal he suggests will most likely be exactly what you were hoping for, and never really thought you’d find.
The other half of our small team is our Chef, Rasim Purivatra. His years of experience abroad, extensive knowledge of cuisine, especially Asian fusions, and the way he plays with different ingredients and spices are guaranteed to leave you mesmerized and coming back for more.
